Pip is sleuthing again。 This time to locate a missing classmate while covering it in real time on her podcast。 She uncovers secrets, lies and dangerous relationships。 This is a twisty mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end。 Darker than its predecessor, GGBB is a sequel unique enough in storyline that you could successfully read it without having read Good Girl's Guide to Murder。 But, doing so would cause you to miss a great read。 Good Girl, Bad Blood is a perfect selection for fa Pip is sleuthing again。 This time to locate a missing classmate while covering it in real time on her podcast。 She uncovers secrets, lies and dangerous relationships。 This is a twisty mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end。 Darker than its predecessor, GGBB is a sequel unique enough in storyline that you could successfully read it without having read Good Girl's Guide to Murder。 But, doing so would cause you to miss a great read。 Good Girl, Bad Blood is a perfect selection for fans of Karen McManus and Sadie by Courtney Summers as it alternates between narration, the interviews and podcast transcriptions。 。。。more

This book followed the story of the first book, A good girls guide to murder。 If you have read the first book (which you should) then you should read this one as well。 I like following the lives of fictional characters, so I was on hold for this book for 3 months till it came out。 To be honest, I was I little disappointed, in the sense where in the first book there were some clues in the beginning to what happens in the end, this one does not have that。 Don't get me wrong, I really liked this bo This book followed the story of the first book, A good girls guide to murder。 If you have read the first book (which you should) then you should read this one as well。 I like following the lives of fictional characters, so I was on hold for this book for 3 months till it came out。 To be honest, I was I little disappointed, in the sense where in the first book there were some clues in the beginning to what happens in the end, this one does not have that。 Don't get me wrong, I really liked this book and I will definitely read the next book 。。。more

Pip is back for another mystery。 After giving up her mystery solving days, a close friends’ brother goes missing and when the police wont do anything to find him, Pip takes it upon herself。 I went into this book with high expectations after reading A Good Girls Guide to Murder and it certainly didn’t disappoint - in fact I could go as far as saying I enjoyed it even more! Holly Jackson continues her unique writing style but this time she goes a step further including photographs and podcast uploads。 This only adds to the wonderful intriguing and captivating case。 I particularly enjoyed the growth of Pips character throughout the sequel。 We get to know her true colours better; showing she’s not the good girl she appears to be。 Holly explores other characters within a similar setting - the perfect mix of new and old。 Her story telling technique makes us feel part of the small knit community yet never so comfortable that something new and dangerous isn’t on the horizon。 This is one of the fastest books I’ve read and is the definition of a ‘unputdownablebook’。 I can only hope that Holly Jackson has many more Pip stories in store for us very soon。 。。。more

Really fun mystery that wasn’t predictable and was pretty addictive and suspenseful。 Honestly maybe this is a stupid way to judge but I didn’t 5 star it because I wasn’t itching to spoil myself。 Since I didn’t look up the ending it feels like a sign that I wasn’t absolutely enamored and desperate to know what happens which in my eyes means it wasn’t a perfect mystery book。 Buttttt ignoring my tendency to ruin mysteries by intentionally spoiling myself, this was great!

AH YES HOLLY JACKSON IS AMAZING!! THIS BOOK KEPT ME GUESSING UNTIL THE END。I honestly did not expect much from this book, as the plot had been wrapped up nicely in the first book。 AGGGTM was a wild rollercoaster of a book, and I didn't think there was a need for a sequel。 The murder in the story was solved and Pip was safe and happy, seems like a perfect place to end, right?BUT NO, the way Holly Jackson brought a new mystery to town yet still kept the previous mystery very much present in the pl AH YES HOLLY JACKSON IS AMAZING!! Like omg, it's such a cliche mystery book thing。 The new neighbors move in, and that's when everything starts going wrong。。。 classic。 *sighs aggresively*Another thing, I would have preferred it if Daniel Da Silva was more involved, like he's already such a sus guy。STANLEYS DEATH KILLED ME。 I actually felt so bad, but it's funny how a few chapters before, I would have laughed at the notion of Stanley dying。 ALSO, Lauren and Ant。。。 I don't like it。 Made me so angry。 Nat Da Silva is one of my fav characters and I loved how Pip managed to bond with her。SO, definitely loved this book and recommend it to all contemporary mystery true crime muderinos。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Väldigt bra och spännande precis som den första i serien。 Det enda som är lite off är referenserna till typ reddit och ”flossing”。 Jag hade också uppskattat om en viss person hade varit mer involverad i större delar av boken。 Då man sympatiserar mer med den karraktären hade slutet fått ännu större effekt。 Nu blir klimaxet mest att karraktär x och y har två parallella monologer。 Det hade kunnat inkorporerats på ett annat sätt i boken。

What a great sequel。 Usually I am so bored after the first book, however Holly Jackson did a great job of fitting in an old story with a new story and keep it just as appealing。 It had me guessing to the end, and trying to figure out who everyone was, and why。 Amazing read, can't wait for book 3! I will listen to these audiobooks for as long as Bailey Carr & cast narrate them。 There's something so soothing yet compelling about Carr's voice and the interview formast for the rest of the cast really works。 As for writing, Jackson really elevated her world and character building this time。 I wonder if she either wrote out this series all together or mapped out all of the characters/plots for each book before completely writing, because some minor characters from book 1 now feature prominentl I will listen to these audiobooks for as long as Bailey Carr & cast narrate them。 There's something so soothing yet compelling about Carr's voice and the interview formast for the rest of the cast really works。 As for writing, Jackson really elevated her world and character building this time。 I wonder if she either wrote out this series all together or mapped out all of the characters/plots for each book before completely writing, because some minor characters from book 1 now feature prominently and have important callbacks to the central mystery。 Jackson also really grows Pip up in this book and she'll have to work through some real trauma, which feels right to the series。 A well baked layer cake, I look forward to reading the 3rd book! 。。。more

Hey you!If you still haven't read this (or AGGGTM), you need to do three things immediately:1。 Get your hands on this book。2。 Put your eyes on these pages。3。 Sink your teeth into this story and4。 Witness the beginnings of a brilliant young writer on the verge of becoming the new, modern Agatha Christie。(OK, so that's four things, but whatever。) Hey you!If you still haven't read this (or AGGGTM), you need to do three things immediately:1。 Get your hands on this book。2。 Put your eyes on these pages。3。 Sink your teeth into this story and4。 Witness the beginnings of a brilliant young writer on the verge of becoming the new, modern Agatha Christie。(OK, so that's four things, but whatever。) 。。。more

This one had the same obvious Britishness/why is this set in Connecticut vibe as the first one, and it was still really distracting from what was an otherwise solid mystery。

I actually liked it better than the first one! I love the minutiae of Pip investigating! I didn't see the end coming, although it wasn't a BIG reveal or anything。 Definitely will read the third book! ~4 stars~ Okay, I'll admit it, I was kind of skeptical at first。 Another mystery? In Fairview? That's Pip's solving? Again? What kind of messed up town is this? But upon reaching about the halfway point, I was completely hooked。 The story follows Pip, our semi-professional-but-not-really detective, as she works to uncover clues about a friend's recent disappearance。 She enlists the help of a few other people, including Ravi (whom I love) and Connor (whom I kind of dislike - sorry Connor)。 Togeth ~4 stars~ Okay, I'll admit it, I was kind of skeptical at first。 Another mystery? But upon reaching about the halfway point, I was completely hooked。 The story follows Pip, our semi-professional-but-not-really detective, as she works to uncover clues about a friend's recent disappearance。 She enlists the help of a few other people, including Ravi (whom I love) and Connor (whom I kind of dislike - sorry Connor)。 Together, they hunt down a bunch of clues about where Connor's lost brother, Jamie, could be, and why。 The plot was pretty fun and enjoyable, but I guess not as great as the first book。 I have to say that I was a little disappointed in the characters。 Pip's back, but I feel like she's lost some of that maturity and wiseness that she worked hard to acquire in the first book。 Still, she's a fun character, and being in her head can be really fun。 Ravi, of course, is amazing as always。 He doesn't make as many appearances as I'd have liked (which is a little disappointing, but whatever), but when he does, he does not disappoint。 Supportive, loyal, and so so kind, Ravi is just what Pip needs when she's in a funk。 And then, of course, we have Connor, Pip's friend and Jamie's brother。 He's the one who pushed Pip into this mess, and to be honest, I'm not his biggest fan right now。 He knows how Pip feels about diving into another mystery, and yet he pushes her anyway。 Sure, it was because of his fear for his brother, but still。 (view spoiler)[He practically broke Pip's mental health and got Stanley dead, and for what? His brother was absolutely fiiine。 Come on, man。 (hide spoiler)] Okay, so this was a great book and all, but I had a few problems with it。 First, in the synopsis, the author alludes to a connection between Sal's and Andie's death anniversaries and Jamie's disappearance。 However, this was mentioned maaaaybe once or twice in the book, but otherwise had no significance whatsoever。 Jamie's disappearance had zero ties to Sal's and Andie's anniversary。 Second, a lot of the clues that Pip follow don't make any sense once you realize what really happened。 Finally, the ending was not an ending。 Like, it wasn't even a cliffhanger or anything。 It just。。。ended。 Boom。 Just like that。 I had a real big problem with that。 So I just complained a bunch about the book and all its faults, but didn't highlight any of the good parts。。。oops。 Heh。 Sorry bout that。 But I swear this book is actually fun!! Overall, it was a fun and intriguing sequel to A Good Girl's Guide to Murder that I really loved! :) 。。。more
